OpenArt alternatives for batch generation

OpenArt bundles over 100 image, video and audio models, saved characters and a credit allowance priced per seat, and runs 8 to 32 generations in parallel by plan. People who leave it for batch work usually want one of three things: more running at once, a price per model they can see, or a faster way to sort what comes back. Decide which before comparing.

✦01 · The situation

Why people go looking

  • Parallel generations top out at 32, even on the top Wonder plan.
  • The pricing page counts roughly how many images and videos a plan buys, so a heavy video month is hard to budget.
  • A batch of a few hundred comes back with nothing to sort it but scrolling.
  • Several people need to work in it, and every seat is priced on its own.
✦02 · How to judge

What actually
separates these

How many generations run at once

OpenArt runs 8, 16 or 32 in parallel depending on the plan. Below, Midjourney runs 3 prompts at a time in Relax mode and Personifex up to 300 generations on Agency, so compare the figure on the plan you would buy, not the top one.

Whether you can see the price of each model

OpenArt’s pricing page says roughly how many images or videos a plan buys rather than what each model costs. Runway prices each model in credits per second or per image on its pricing page, and Personifex bills each model at the provider’s list price on your own key. A visible price per model is what lets you draft cheaply and finish on the expensive one.

How it keeps a character consistent

OpenArt saves characters you build from reference images, up to a number set by your plan. Krea trains a LoRA on up to 50 images, or 2,000 on Max and Business. Personifex keeps a library of reference photos per persona that every generation draws on. With all three, results vary by model.

What happens after the batch

OpenArt’s pages advertise no review pass or calendar, and neither do the other generators here. If sorting the output is where your time goes, filter on that before you compare anything else.

Personifex

This is ours

Best for

Someone who needs hundreds of images or clips rather than one perfect render, and wants to keep only the best. Up to 300 generations run at once on Agency (20 on Solo, 50 on Creator), across 123 image models and 187 video models for making, editing and upscaling clips, each billed to your own WaveSpeed key at the provider’s price and shown before you start. A keyboard review pass follows: 1 to 4 to rate, Z to undo.

Watch out for

A new WaveSpeed account runs 2 tasks at a time until its first top-up, each video mode runs for one member at a time, and the calendar and queue start on Creator. There is no LoRA training, real-time canvas, node editor or video editor, no free trial, and it does not publish.

Best for

Someone who wants a broad generator with a low entry price and prices you can actually read. It carries the major image and video models plus its own, real-time generation, LoRA training and a node editor for building repeatable workflows.

Watch out for

Units on Basic, Pro and Max do not roll over, and a heavy video month uses them up fast. It stops at the render: its pricing page advertises no calendar, no review pass and no publishing.

Ideogram

“Ideogram is a generative media platform.”, in its own words

Priority credits each month for fast generations, unlimited slow generations on every paid plan, and credits per image set by the model and rendering settings
Plus
$20/mo
2,400 priority credits, 8 generations running or queued, or $15 a month billed yearly
Pro
$60/mo
7,500 priority credits, 32 generations running or queued, batch generation, or $42 a month billed yearly
Team
$30/mo
Per user: 3,600 priority credits and batch generation, or $20 a user a month billed yearly

Read from ideogram.ai on 2026-10-28

Best for

Someone whose images carry words: posters, ads, packaging, social graphics. Ideogram says its models are built for prompt fidelity and readable type, its Pro plan adds batch generation with 32 generations running or queued, and slow generations are unlimited on every paid plan.

Watch out for

Batch generation is not on the Plus plan, which allows 8 generations running or queued. Custom model training is marked limited even on Pro and Team, and the pricing page mentions no review pass, calendar or publishing.

Midjourney

A subscription with monthly Fast GPU hours, unlimited Relax-mode images from Standard up, and extra Fast time at $4 an hour
Basic
$10/mo
200 minutes of Fast GPU time, 3 image prompts at once, or $8 a month billed yearly
Standard
$30/mo
15 Fast GPU hours, unlimited Relax images, 3 image prompts at once, or $24 a month billed yearly
Pro
$60/mo
30 Fast GPU hours, unlimited Relax images and SD video, 12 image prompts at once in Fast or 3 in Relax, Stealth Mode, or $48 a month billed yearly
Mega
$120/mo
60 Fast GPU hours, unlimited Relax images and SD video, 12 image prompts at once in Fast or 3 in Relax, Stealth Mode, or $96 a month billed yearly

Best for

Someone whose deciding factor is the Midjourney look. From the Standard plan up, Relax mode makes images unlimited, so volume costs time rather than money, and Pro and Mega run 12 image prompts at once in Fast mode.

Watch out for

Relax mode runs 3 prompts at a time, and Fast time is metered by the hour. Its plan comparison mentions no seats, review pass or scheduling, and it asks companies with over $1 million a year in revenue to buy Pro or Mega. It is not one of the models in Personifex.

ComfyUI

“Professional Control of Visual AI”, in its own words

Free on your own hardware. Comfy Cloud spends credits on GPU time while a workflow runs and on partner models such as Nano Banana Pro, and plan credits do not roll over
Desktop
$0/mo
Free, on your own hardware
Cloud Standard
$20/mo
Workflows up to 30 minutes each, or $16 a month billed yearly
Cloud Creator
$35/mo
Adds your own models and LoRAs, or $28 a month billed yearly
Cloud Pro
$100/mo
Workflows up to an hour each, or $80 a month billed yearly

Read from comfy.org on 2026-10-28

Best for

Someone technical who wants complete control and will build the pipeline to get it. Workflows are graphs of models and steps you design yourself, the desktop app runs free on your own hardware, and Comfy Cloud queues up to 100 workflows at once and can serve a workflow as an API.

Watch out for

It is a toolkit rather than a finished workflow: you build the graph, keep it working as models change, and sort the results yourself. Locally, speed is whatever your graphics card manages; in the cloud, credits pay for GPU time and partner models.

Runway

“Intelligent tools for scaling content and teams.”, in its own words

Credit-metered, with a monthly allowance per plan and every model priced in credits per second or per image; only Max carries unused credits over, for one month
Free
$0/mo
125 credits once, to try it
Standard
$15/mo
625 credits, 5 parallel generations, or $12 a month billed yearly
Pro
$35/mo
2,250 credits, 15 parallel generations, or $28 a month billed yearly
Max
$95/mo
9,500 credits, 20 parallel generations, or $76 a month billed yearly

Read from runway.com on 2026-10-28

Best for

Someone for whom video is the main output. It runs its own Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0 alongside models such as Kling 4.0 and Seedance, prices every model in credits on its pricing page, runs 5 to 20 generations in parallel by plan, and can generate, test and publish ads through Runway Ads.

Watch out for

Credits go quickly on video: by its own count, the Standard allowance is 52 seconds of Gen-4.5 a month. Credits reset monthly except on Max, and the pricing page mentions no review pass or calendar.

If this is you, pick this

You rely on saved characters and the model menu

Stay on OpenArt. Over 100 models, characters you build once and reuse, and up to 32 generations at once on one balance. If that is why you use it, keep it and add tools around it rather than replacing it.

You want more running at once without leaving a studio

Krea. Unlimited image concurrency from its Max plan and 4 or 8 below it, plus real-time generation and LoRA training. Units reset monthly below Business.

Video is most of the work

Runway. Its own Gen-4.5 alongside Kling 4.0 and Seedance, every model priced in credits on its pricing page, and 5 to 20 generations in parallel by plan.

Your images carry text

Ideogram. Batch generation from its Pro plan, 32 generations running or queued, and unlimited slow generations on every paid plan.

You want to script the whole pipeline

ComfyUI. Free on your own hardware, and Comfy Cloud queues up to 100 workflows at once and can serve a workflow as an API.

You need hundreds of variations, sorted fast

Personifex. Up to 300 generations at once on Agency, many of the models OpenArt names billed at the provider’s price on your own key, and a keyboard pass to keep the best. Each persona keeps 5, 20 or 50 reference photos by plan.

✦05 · Limits

What we do not do

On every comparison page here, including the ones where it is least convenient.

  • Personifex does not post for you. It schedules, assigns and tracks, and a person publishes from the phone. Every tool on this page that publishes directly is ahead of us there, and we say so rather than leave you to find out.
  • There is no importer. Nothing you have elsewhere moves across automatically, so a switch means starting the next batch here rather than migrating the last one.
  • There is no free trial. The closest thing on offer is a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first payment, and plans are self-serve and cancel in one click.

Personifex does not resell compute. You bring your own WaveSpeed key for images and video, and your own OpenRouter key for the writing features, so the provider bills you directly at its own prices and we add no markup. The subscription is a flat fee for the workflow around it.

✦06 · Questions

Common questions

What is the closest OpenArt alternative for batches?

Krea, if you want another studio with many models: it runs 4 or 8 images at once on Basic and Pro and unlimited from Max, and trains LoRAs on your own images. If the batch matters more than the studio, Personifex runs up to 300 at once on Agency, with a review pass after.

Does Personifex run the models OpenArt lists?

Many of them. Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0, Sora 2, Wan 2.7, Nano Banana 2, Seedream 5.0 Pro and GPT Image 2.5, all named on OpenArt’s home page, run in Personifex on your own WaveSpeed key. Kling 4.0, which OpenArt’s pricing page promotes, is not among them.

How were these prices checked?

Each one was read from that vendor’s own pricing page, with the date shown next to it. Nothing here comes from a review site or a comparison blog, and OpenArt’s own figures come from its pricing page too.
