Personifex
vs Postcrest

The short answer

Postcrest is broader and it publishes; Personifex is narrower and it does not. If your bottleneck is getting posts out of a tool and onto a platform, Postcrest does that and we do not. If your bottleneck is deciding which of two hundred generated images are worth posting, and then getting them to whoever posts them, that is the part we built and they do not advertise.

How to read the third column

It says what Postcrest advertises, not what it can do. We have not signed up for it, so Not advertised means we read the pages below and did not find it mentioned. That is genuinely weaker than saying the software cannot do it, and we would rather be accurate than emphatic. The Personifex column is checked against our own code.

✦02 · Detail

Why each row matters

A table tells you which cells differ. It does not tell you which differences you should care about, which is usually the actual question.

How usage is billed

This is the difference that compounds. A credit allowance makes a heavy month either stop or cost extra, and it prices a cheap model and an expensive one in the same unit. Bringing your own key means a heavy month costs more compute and the same subscription, and it also means two invoices instead of one, which is a real cost of the trade rather than a footnote.

Team access

Both have real multi-seat access rather than a shared login. The shapes differ: theirs is more seats at the lower tiers, ours is finer-grained about what a member may do, and only one of the two ties a seat to a queue of assigned work.

Content calendar

Close to parity, and their version does something ours does not: it suggests what to post and when. Ours assumes you already know and cares about who is going to do it.

Publishing to platforms

The single biggest thing they do that we do not, and the most likely reason to pick them. Direct publishing needs a reviewed platform app tied to a registered company, which is a paperwork problem rather than an engineering one, and it is not solved here yet.

Batch review and triage

The reason this product exists. Generating two hundred images is cheap and sorting them is the evening, so a tool that hands you a folder has moved the problem rather than solved it. Their approval flows sit on individual drafts, which is a different job from culling a batch.

Assignment queue

Seats and comment threads let several people work in one place. A queue is the narrower thing: it tells one person what they specifically have to do today and records whether they did it. Nothing we found advertises the second.

Inbox and comment replies

Squarely theirs. If engagement is part of the job you are trying to automate, nothing here touches it.

Model range

Both offer a range. The difference is visibility: because compute here is billed to you directly, the per-model price is a number you can look up rather than a credit cost we set.

✦03 · Who each is for

Pick Postcrest if

  • You want the tool to publish for you. Postcrest advertises direct publishing to Instagram, YouTube and X. Personifex does not post at all, and that is the single biggest thing it does that we do not.
  • You want a unified inbox and automated comment replies. We have neither and are not building them.
  • You want voice cloning and lip-sync as part of the same subscription rather than billed to your own provider key.
  • You are running one persona and one channel. Most of what we add is about keeping several personas separate and handing work to somebody else.

Pick Personifex if

  • You generate far more than you post, and the real work is deciding what to keep. That triage pass is the thing we built first.
  • Credit anxiety is shaping what you generate. Compute here is billed to your own provider key at cost, so the subscription does not move with volume.
  • You run several personas and need them genuinely separate rather than filed in folders.
  • Somebody else does the posting and you want to assign it rather than describe it in a DM.
✦04 · Limits

What we do not do

  • Personifex does not post for you. It schedules, assigns and tracks, and a person publishes from the phone. Every tool on this page that publishes directly is ahead of us there, and we say so rather than leave you to find out.
  • There is no importer. Nothing you have elsewhere moves across automatically, so a switch means starting the next batch here rather than migrating the last one.
  • There is no free trial. The closest thing on offer is a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first payment, and plans are self-serve and cancel in one click.

Personifex does not resell compute. You bring your own WaveSpeed key for images and video, and your own OpenRouter key for the writing features, so the provider bills you directly at its own prices and we add no markup. The subscription is a flat fee for the workflow around it.

✦05 · Questions

Common questions

Which one should I pick?

If you want one tool that takes a post all the way to the platform, Postcrest. If you generate far more than you post and the work is deciding what survives and then handing it to somebody, this one. Those are genuinely different bottlenecks and the answer follows from which one is yours.

What is the actual cost difference?

The subscriptions are close enough that they are not the story. The story is what happens when volume rises: their tiers include a credit allowance, so heavy months either stop or cost more, while here the subscription is fixed and the compute is billed to you by the provider at its own prices. Where that crosses over depends on your volume and your models, which is what the free calculator is for.

Can I run both?

Yes, and it is a reasonable setup. Bringing your own model key means nothing here is exclusive. Review and delegate in one, publish in the other.
